Jump cuts in film are used to create the impression of jumping through time. In my film a jump cut is used as the car is driving to the house to speed up the process of the driving scene.

Action matches are used to create a smooth transition of an action. In my film this technique is used when Noah opens the car door to get into the car.

Long takes ae used to signify drama or emotion. In my film a long take was used when Noah was walking to his car. The long take used creates a feeling of tension.

Short takes are used to inject pace and urgency, which thrills the audience. I used short takes in my film when Noah was driving to create an intense feeling.
