Blog Post #5 - conventions in drama comedies

 

In the movie hitman, there are conventions that fit the genre of a drama comedy.

For example, the closeups of the two main characters along with the woman holding onto the man makes the audience feel as if the two characters are close with each other and work together to solve problems. It creates tension that there is a lot of drama in the movie.

The contribution to performance of the two characters shows how close they are with each other. for example, the there were a movie about a Superhero and a Supervillain fighting each other, they would be looking across from each other like they are in a battle to show that they are not partners, but the conventions used in this movie shows otherwise.
